Indonesian Vice Trade Ministry Bayu Krisnamurthi, believes export markets, since the greater the biopesticide agricultural products consumed the international community demanded free of harmful substances. He explains, the use of biopesticide that could help farmers to diversify products and urge people to come out of pertembakauan polemic health and smoking. Therefore, the Trade Ministry hopes to build a non-tobacco smoking and tobacco prices are able to draw on a range of more or less the same with smoking. "Ideally the tobacco prices don't be too cheap or range between 35,000-45,000 USD is thus quite interesting and beneficial to farmers," he said.

Currently, the volume of tobacco reached 230,000 tons to 130,000 tonnes generated Java. Looking ahead, the resulting tobacco farmers expected zero percent nicotine solution. "Indonesia has a long history of tobacco. Like tobacco in Besuki and Deli which have export market in Bremen, Germany, and this can spur the rise of tobacco industry in the future, "he said.

Kegiatan Rapat Kerja Nasional Perhepi 2013

Kegiatan Rapat Kerja Nasional Perhepi dan Seminar Nasional Pengembangan Ekonomi Kreatif berbasis pada Komoditas Pertanian, dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 – 26 Januari 2013 yang dirangkai dengan beberapa kegiatan terkait tema seminar tersebut.  Rangkaian kegiatan tersebut meliputi : (1) kunjungan lapang ke pusat industri kreatif di sekitar Kota Surakarta; (2); Rapat Kerja Nasional PERHEPI dan (3) Seminar Nasional Pengembangan Ekonomi Kreatif Berbasis Pada Komoditas Pertanian.

Kegiatan diawali dengan kunjungan lapang ke pusat industri kreatif yang ada di sekitar Kota Surakarta, Kampung Batik Laweyan, Surakarta dan Kampung Jamu Nguter Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Di Kampung Batik Laweyan peserta Rakernas mendapat penjelasan tentang sejarah batik di Kota Surakarta dan rencana pengembangan Kampung Batik Laweyan. Pada kunjungan tersebut peserta

dapat melihat secara langsung kegiatan membatik yang dilakukan oleh para pengrajin, baik itu pengrajin batik tulis maupun batik cap, dan tentu saja peserta dapat belanja baju dan kain batik dengan harga yang lebih murah dibanding harga di toko. 

Kunjungan lapang berikutnya adalah ke Kampung Jamu Nguter yang berada di Kabupaten Sukoharjo, kurang lebih 15 kilometer sebelah selatan Kota Surakarta. Pada kunjungan ke lokasi tersebut peserta mendapat penjelasan tentang proses pembuatan jamu, perkembangan teknologi pengolahan jamu dan pemasaran jamu racikan (jamu dalam kemasan). Di akhir kunjungan, peserta dapat mencicipi jamu-jamu yang diproduksi oleh pengrajin di Kampung Jamu tersebut, seperti jamu beras kencur, kunir asem, dan lain-lain

Bertempat di Hotel Sahid Jaya Surakarta, selanjutnya Rapat Kerja Nasional PERHEPI yang diikuti oleh Pengurus Pusat Perhepi dan Pengurus Komisariat Daerah (Komda) Perhepi dari seluruh Indonesia diselenggarakan. Turut hadir dan memberi sambutan Sekretaris Daerah Kota Surakarta mewakili Walikota Surakarta pada acara Pembukaan, hadir juga Pembantu Rektor I UNS yang mewakili Rektor UNS. Sekda pada sambutannya selain menyampaikan ucapan selamat datang di Kota Surakarta kepada para peserta Rakernas, Walikota Surakarta juga menginformasikan tentang visi dan misi Kota Surakarta, serta program-program Kota Surakarta sebagai kota budaya dalam pengembangan industri kreatif.

Perwakilan Perhepi Komda Probolinggo juga mengikuti Rakernas yang dipimpin langsung oleh Ketua Umum Pengurus Pusat Perhepi (Dr. Ir. Bayu Krisnamurthi, M.S) didampingi Sekretaris Jenderal PP Perhepi (Ir. Ronnie S. Natawidjaja, M.Sc, Ph.D.), dan Bendahara Umum PERHEPI (Dr. Ir. Dwi Rachmina, M.Si). Disampaikan pada Rakernas tersebut mengenai Laporan Kegiatan Perhepi tahun 2012 dan Rencana Program tahun 2013.
